What I love about indie games is that they offer something new to gamers. That\u2019s why this Halloween, I\u2019m not going to recommend the usual horror games created by the Big Names. I\u2019m going beyond the border and introduce you to five of the best indie horror games you can find on Steam.

Among the Sleep<\/b><\/p>\n

Among the Sleep follows the story of a two-year-old child who wakes up in the middle of the night after hearing a mysterious sound. Explore an eerie atmosphere in the body of a vulnerable toddler and all his childlike anxiety as he makes sense of the world. Its unique approach to horror makes it one of the best and most creative indie games on Steam. Among the Sleep is a game from Krillbite Studio that was released on May 29, 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Forest<\/b><\/p>\n

The Forest is an open-world horror game that allows you to play as the lone survivor of a passenger jet crash. You find yourself stuck in the middle of the forest filled with cannibalistic mutants. Aside from these mutants, you also need to build shelter, hunt for food, and keep yourself warm. The Forest is an early-access game and still being developed as of the moment. This also means that new features will add up every now and then, to keep the thrill in the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t Starve Together<\/b><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t Starve Together is a multiplayer expansion game of Klei Entertainment\u2019s Don\u2019t Starve game. It allows you to play with your friends and enter a strange world filled with unknown creatures, dangers, and surprises. Aside from this, you also need to gather resources to craft items that will help you defend yourself from any danger. Work with other players or create a private game to survive. The game was just released this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miscreated<\/b><\/p>\n

Miscreated is an online multiplayer survival game which is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Aside from battling mutants and trying to survive in its harsh environment, you must also defend yourself from other online players who will kill you for territory. Join or create your own clan to help you build your base. Once you have your own, do your best to protect it from enemies and monsters. Miscreated is developed by Entrada Interactive LLC and was published on Oct 30, 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

Outlast<\/b><\/p>\n
