      Solasta II Gameplay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Solasta II is a turn-based tactical RPG developed and published by Tactical Adventures. It is the sequel to the first game, Solasta: Crown of the Magister (2021). The new game takes you to an entirely new setting, continent of Neokos. A land where ancient civilizations have crumbled and a mysterious dark force known as Shadwyn threatens the fate of the entire continent. You take control of the four adopted siblings, the Colwalls. You get to customize these 4 characters. The game is fully voiced by talent including Amelia Tyler (BG3’s narrator), Ben Starr, and Devora Wilde \u2014 whose lives are upended when forgotten powers awaken within them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The game has just entered early access, so if that isn’t your cup of tea, you may want to wait for the full release. But if you are in to games like this, or enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3, this is a game that demands your attention.w<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The biggest upgrade from the original is the switch to Unreal Engine 5, which brings a dramatic leap in visual fidelity. Environments are richly detailed, characters are far more expressive, and the static dialogue of the first game has been replaced with full cinematic motion captured scenes, give the game a real step up in quality that we have only seen in CRPGs like Baldur’s Gate 3. Under the hood of this newly improved presentation is still a faithful table top tactical roleplaying game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Every turn-based encounter is tactical puzzle where you need to think through your positioning, resources, abilities, verticality, spell synergies, and of course the roll of the dice always has the final word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Early Access build launches with Act 1 of the main story, capped at Level 4, with 6 playable classes (Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Paladin), 13 subclasses, 4 ancestries, and full multiclassing support from the start. That’s approximately 10\u201315 hours of content including story, exploration, hidden bosses, and secret locations. Combat maps have been completely overhauled with Verticality 2.0 \u2014 flight, climbing, and teleports add new layers to tactical decision-making that fundamentally change how you approach encounters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
