The Final Destiny 2 Expansion, aptly name: The Final Shape<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Destiny 2’s final expansion is here. In the 7th year since the game’s release, this expansion will wrap up the story of Destiny 2 while setting things up for the next game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players will have to face the Final Shape – a nightmarish blend of reality and the Witness’s twisted design. You’ll journey into the heart of the Traveler while rallying up the Vanguard to put an end to the War of Light and Darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides the conclusion of years worth of story arcs, the Final Shape brings a new subclass to Destiny 2 – the Prismatic. With this subclass you can combine Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis, and Strand into a custom subclass that is completely your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One welcome addition to the upcoming expansion is a major overhaul to the power system. This is great news if you are jumping into Destiny 2 for the first time. Before the expansion, power was based on your total “gear score”. Having a full set of the best gear (which meant tons of grinding) would put a player at the maximum power level. This power level is now being changed so that a player’s power is based on the overall power of the fireteam. Whoever has the highest power level will be what all of the other players will be “brought up to”. This means new players can hop straight in without the worry of being underpowered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
