Bethesda has announced that Doom Eternal won’t feature the traditional deathmatch multiplayer in the game. During their E3 conference, the video game company confirmed that Doom Eternal will only offer Battle Mode as its primary multiplayer mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

Executive Producer Marty Stratton made this clear by telling fans that Doom Eternal will feature Battle Mode as its primary multiplayer mode. According to him, the cool thing about this is that since it is ripped straight from the original Doom, it’s the combat that the players will love and want.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Doom 2016’s single player mode was good, the team has learned a lot from its multiplayer mode and the fact that it was not well received.<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning from their mistake, Bethesda went to offer something more traditional to its players. They have developed Doom: Eternal’s multiplayer internally and focused on making it the best multiplayer possible. The goal was to feature a Doom game that players can enjoy together with their friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was also confirmed that id software is very open to feature cross-platform play for Doom: Eternal. They confirmed that there will be no technical restrictions that can stop the team from implementing it to the game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although they have not discussed or started developing the feature, the team wants the idea of connecting their players in many ways as possible. There will be a lot of publishing and first party technicalities to sort out to make this possible, but besides that, the idea of crossplay is pretty much possible with today’s technology.<\/span><\/p>\n
