Techland has finally revealed the upcoming free content for Dying Light. As stated before, it will serve as a reward for the \u201cDrink for DLC\u201d campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

The free content will start rolling out on February 9 and will give players access to a three-part DLC. The first part will be \u201cThe Fountain of Youth,\u201d which features an exploration-based quest located in the Old Town area. Techland also mentioned a new blueprint called \u201cWater 2.0\u201d which will allow players to create a throwable weapon that can intensify the electrocution effect of other in-game weapons. The other two parts will feature two parkour challenges that will be designed around the theme of water.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Drink for DLC\u201d campaign was launched last June and was rolled out as an ironic foil to Destiny\u2019s Red Bull marketing promotion. In an official announcement, Techland introduced the \u201cThe Drink for DLC\u201d campaign which invites players to take a picture of themselves drinking water and then post it to Twitter with the hashtag, #DrinkforDLC. By joining the campaign, players will be rewarded with free content.<\/span><\/p>\n

The marketing campaign was a success, and the hashtag reached more than 15 million Twitter users. It also conjured over 15,000 photos of players, doing the challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

As stated, the free content will be released this February as part of the Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition or as a free improvements update for the owners of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n
