In our article yesterday, we\u2019ve featured the two newest heroes revealed by Dota 2 called Grimstroke and Mars. Although no further details were revealed about Mars, Grimstroke was initially released in the game and was made available to play as soon as the updates rolled in. <\/span><\/p>\n

Grimstroke is described as a <\/span>\u201cranged and offensive support hero\u201d<\/span><\/i> which can also act as a nuker. Armed with a set of punitive and disabling spells, he can turn the tides of flashlights and disable his victims, putting them to silence, or bind two enemies together to their death.<\/span><\/p>\n

So without further adieu, let\u2019s get to know more about Grimstroke and his soul-binding spells:<\/span><\/p>\n

ABILITIES<\/h2>\n

Stroke of Fate<\/h3>\n

\"Stroke<\/p>\n

This is Grimstroke’s first ability which causes him to wind up and paint a path of ink with his soul-binding brush. The ink causes damage and slows down enemies — the damage increases with each enemy the ink strikes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Phantom’s Embrace<\/h3>\n

\"Phantom's<\/p>\n

Grimstroke’s second ability when activated allows him to summon a phantom which quickly latches itself to the target opponent. Once it has latched on the victim, the phantom damages and silences its target. If the phantom survives the full latch duration, she hits his enemy with massive damage and then refreshes Phantom’s Embrace cooldown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ink Swell<\/h3>\n

\"Ink<\/p>\n

This is Grimstroke’s third ability wherein upon activation, he will shroud himself or an allied unit in ink. The ink then grants movement speed while silencing and disarming enemies, making Grimstroke and the allied unit immune to attacks. Enemies in range will also take damage with inky tendrils if they try to come close.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a few seconds, the ink then explodes, stunning nearby enemy units and applying damage in proportion to how much ink tendril damage was done during the ink’s duration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Soul Bind<\/h3>\n

\"Soul<\/p>\n

This is Grimstroke’s ultimate ability which allows him to bind a targeted enemy hero to its nearby ally, preventing both of them from moving away from each other. Any unit-targeted spell cast to the bound enemy unit will also affect the other hero.<\/span><\/p>\n
