The popular zombie-shooting video game Resident Evil 2 is finally getting a remake. It was revealed during Sony\u2019s E3 2018 press conference with two trailers, showing us the massive overhaul of the classic zombie survival game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Resident Evil 2 was first released in January 1998 for Sony Playstation then eventually made its way to PC, Nintendo 64, GameCube, and Dreamcast. <\/span><\/p>\n

The remake project was initially announced three years ago, but details about its development were hidden from the public. According to Capcom, the game has been completely rebuilt with the RE Engine and will have modernized controls on top of gameplay modes found in the original game. Aside from that, fans should also expect outstanding realistic visuals, heart-poundingly immersive audio, and zombies that will react in real time. Capcom also confirmed that the game will feature a third-person perspective similar to Resident Evil 4, unlike the last installment in the series, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. <\/span><\/p>\n

Resident Evil 2 will feature the rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as playable characters, who must explore a zombie-infested Raccoon City. Capcom also announced that both characters will have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to experience the story from each of the character\u2019s perspective. <\/span><\/p>\n

Along with the new trailer, Capcom confirmed the game’s release date. The remake game merely is titled as “Resident Evil 2” and will be launched for January 25, 2019, for XBox One and <\/span>gaming PCs<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

As we all know, Resident Evil is one of the most successful gaming franchises, spawning six movies over the course of 15 years. Resident Evil 2 is the second one in the series to be remade after Resident Evil.
