In every multiplayer FPS video like Overwatch, there are roles players must pick to be able to win a match. While most of us would love to take on an offensive role, taking down enemies and all, there are some who\u2019d love to take on the role of a tank and charge on the battle without any fear.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a tank in Overwatch, the role is to protect allies, and in most cases disrupt enemies with AOE crowd control skills. And for today, we\u2019re putting the spotlight on Overwatch\u2019s best tank heroes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overwatch Top 5 Tank Heroes<\/h2>\n

D.Va<\/h3>\n

Unlike most tank heroes in the game, D.Va stands out because of her mobility, allowing her to easily close a gap to the enemy. Once near the enemy, she can execute her skills with high-damage output, gaining the upper hand. This makes her a strong fighter in a 1-on-1 match. Her Defense Matrix is also very useful in protecting her allies by blocking all incoming-projectiles. Aside from that, D.Va also happens to be one of the dangerous gankers in the tank class that can deal consistent damage to the enemy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong Against:<\/i><\/b> Hanzo, Torbjorn, Widowmaker, and Winston<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Weak Against: <\/i><\/b>Genji, Junkrat, McCree, Mei, Reaper, Reinhardt, and Zarya<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

One of the most mobile tanks in the game, Winston is capable of crossing vast distances in a single leap and bring the fight to his enemies. This makes him an outstanding ganker. His Tesla Cannon, combined with his agility provided by his Jump Pack, allows Winston to quickly disrupt the enemy team and continuously harass his with enemies with the power of his Primal Rage. Winston also excels at bypassing chokepoints and attacking control points by using his skills to force back a defending team and defend the objective.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong Against:<\/i><\/b> Genji, Hanzo, Symmetra, Tracer, Widowmaker, and Zenyatta<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Weak Against: <\/i><\/b>Bastion, D.Va, McCree, Mei, Reaper, Roadhog, and Zarya<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Reinhardt<\/h3>\n

If D.Va and Winston excel in mobility, Reinhardt, on the other hand, happens to be the\u00a0 that helps him protect his teammates from any harm. Although being a largely defense-oriented hero, Reinhardt can also be a deadly offensive threat to his enemies thanks to the high damage of his Rocket Hammer. His ability to crush them against a wall using his skill called Charge helps as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Orisa is an anchor tank, which means that her team will get more benefit when coordinating with her. She also has a strong front-facing defense, using her protective barrier to defend her teammates. Orisa can also attack from a long range, giving her an upper hand against close-range tanks. Her skill kit also allows her to fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies. She also has a skill called Supercharger that will enable her to boost the damage output of her allies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong Against: <\/i><\/b>Lucio, Mercy, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Winston, and Zenyatta<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Weak Against: <\/i><\/b>Bastion, Genji, Pharah, Reaper, Sombra, Tracer, and Widowmaker<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Although a challenging hero to play, Zarya happens to be one of the strongest tanks in the game. Her overall skill kit allows her to deal damage while shielding her teammates. She also excels in supporting her allies, and in doing so, will let her do even more damage. Her ultimate skill, Graviton Surge, has some of the highest playmaking potentials in the game. Thanks to its ability, it allows her to trap an entire team in a single spot.<\/span><\/p>\n
