This is a part of Valve\u2019s action to take a different approach to how the game is going to be updated. So instead of getting a few dramatic patches peppered throughout the year, the game will soon get smaller updates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">\u201cWe want to try taking a different approach to how gameplay patches are released,&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> IceFrog posted in his <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IceFrog\/status\/958912324030554113\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Twitter account<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">.<\/span> <i><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">&#8220;Instead of big patches a couple of times a year, we will be releasing small patches every 2 weeks on Thursdays.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12561\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12561\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12561\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cyberpowergaming.com\/w\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/dota-2-in-game.jpg\" alt=\"Dota 2 In-Game\" width=\"625\" height=\"351\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12561\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo Source: www.dota2.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">He also added that the developers will also be releasing a new in-game feature which will help players keep track of any recent changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Valve confirmed this, stating that updates will come more gradually and consistently, balancing hero stats, abilities, and item powers. These new patches will bring fewer changes than their predecessors but will allow the developers and Valve to address major issues promptly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">For years, Valve has adhered to two-per-year updates to ensure the players had enough time to adapt to the significant changes. However, with this new schedule, all that can change. One of the most notable features in the update is the new type of ban which brings six-month matchmaking bans for players who exhibit a bad attitude.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">As of now, neither IceFrog or Valve has confirmed when the first update of the new two-week patch schedule will go live.
