Kojima Productions unveiled a new trailer for their first game, Death Stranding during The Game Awards Thursday. Game director Hideo Kojima and renowned dark-fantasy movie director Guillermo Del Toro were at the event to show everyone the game\u2019s extended trailer that features the bizarre and creepy world of Death Stranding.<\/span><\/p>\n

The cinematic eight-minute extended trailer reintroduces us to Norman Reedus\u2019 character. Unlike in the first teaser, his character is now wearing a full body suit in this trailer. Aside from that, there was also a robotic eye-like device attached over his shoulders.<\/span><\/p>\n

The haunting trailer also gave us a sneak peek of the game\u2019s enemies — invisible monsters and spooky levitating apparitions. The video also showed one man stabbing himself to death, and Reedus’ character sinking to the bottom of a lake that appears out of nowhere. And if that is not enough to freak you out, there was also a scene where the view shoots down his throat to reveal a baby sucking its thumb at the camera.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the video, you can hear Reedus\u2019 character saying the words: \u201cOnce there was an explosion, a bang that gave rise to life as we know it. Then came the next explosion, an explosion that will be our last.\u201d A phrase that probably refers to the Big Bang Theory and its opposite which is known as the Big Crunch. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the video was a lot to take, what could we expect from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, right? <\/span><\/p>\n

After the trailer, Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus took the stage following the trailer\u2019s premiere. Reedus even joked that he found the footage just as esoteric as the rest of the attendees. But he also praised Kojima\u2019s creative mind, stating that working with Kojima has opened his eyes to a whole new world.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s no official word yet on when Death Standing will be released, but Kojima hinted that it might be released next year. The game is designed for PlayStation 4, but we\u2019re still positive that Kojima will also release it for Microsoft Windows <\/span>gaming PCs<\/span><\/a> and laptops.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
