CD Projekt RED, the developer of The Witcher series, has come forward to address an issue about its upcoming open-world RPG Cyberpunk 2077.<\/span><\/p>\n

The issue started after Pretty Good Gaming uploaded a video discussing that CD Projekt RED considers “games as a service” for CyberPunk 2077 after their CEO Adam Kicinski discussed something about “online elements” in an interview. This raised concern among fans especially when other parts of the interview included buzzword such as \u201ccommercial\u201d features to keep the players engaged. But fret not, because CD Projekt RED immediately clarified the issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to Pretty Good Gaming, CD Projekt RED tweeted:<\/span><\/p>\n

The tweet earned praises from the fans and reminded everyone why CD Projekt Red is one of the most gamer-friendly developers out there. With microtransaction becoming a rising concern in the gaming industry, the developers<\/span>\u2019 <\/b>\u201chonest gaming\u201d claim puts fans and prospective buyers at ease knowing that the company will be sticking to their plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other news, CD Projekt Red also posted an update about the game\u2019s development last month, stating that \u201cCyberpunk 2077 is progressing as planned,\u201d and that they are taking their time since \u00a0Cyberpunk 2077 is far bigger than any other game the studio has worked before.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming role-playing game designed by Mike Pondsmith which uses REDengine and is said to be set in an open-world environment. It was first announced in 2012, and its trailer was released in January 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n
