On March 2, League of Legends official Facebook page posted a cryptic image teaser of what seems to be a giant sentinel, standing in front of the sun and towering over two people, seemingly coming to their rescue. The image includes a caption \u201cThe Hour of Need,\u201d hinting many to the Galio update that Riot had promised.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three days after the teaser image, Riot finally uploaded the teaser trailer for the Galio update we all been waiting for. Once called as The Sentinel\u2019s Sorrow, he will now be known as The Colossus, waking up from his slumber to defend and protect the helpless people of Demacia.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n

Passive: Colossal Smash<\/b><\/p>\n

Galio\u2019s passive causes his next basic attack to deal bonus magic damage in an area, scaling with his magic resist and bonus attack damage. Its cooldown is reduced whenever Galio\u2019s spells strike a unique champion once per spell. <\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Winds of War<\/b><\/p>\n

Galio fires two gusts of wind to a target direction which deals damage. The place where the wind blasts converge creates a vortex which deals additional damage, including bonus damage which is based on the target\u2019s max health.<\/span><\/p>\n

W: Shield of Duran<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Shield<\/p>\n

This is a passive skill. If Galio avoids taking damage for a period of time of time, he will gain a shield which absorbs magic damage. Holding down the W will cause Galio to enter a defensive stance where gains damage reduction but slow his movement. If W is released, Galio will taunt any nearby enemy champion. The taunt\u2019s range and duration depend on based on how long he remained in the defensive state.<\/span><\/p>\n

E: Justice Punch<\/b><\/p>\n

Galio hops back so he can wind up for an epic haymaker. After a short delay, he charges forward to the target and deals damage to enemies, knocking them up in the same process. His charge stops upon colliding with a champion or terrain.<\/span><\/p>\n

R: Hero\u2019s Entrance<\/b><\/p>\n

Galio designates to an ally\u2019s current position and makes it his landing spot. He then leaps high into the air then torpedoing to the place where his targeted allied hero was. As he lands, he deals magic damage to all enemies in the area and knocks them up. It also grants his ally Shield of Durand which reduces any damage intake. <\/span><\/p>\n

Playing as Galio will allow you to make earth-shattering entrances, initiating team fights at its finest.
