I'm not building a computer for a few months still, but like most i like to check out all the options and weight everything correctly. This would be my second build. I'm not sure if i should look in at the exclusive series area, esports or the gaming pc section. I would have a health budget. I do not want a water cooled system personally, but that could change if there is a lot of positive feedback. No matter what i am going to change the case to a full size tower. Which one is yet to be determined. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to motherboard and ram.  I hope that is enough information to determine a path to start down.

-Thank you.

Post your max budget and what the system is for.

Without that information there are 2 many variables to help. Your talking a $1,000.00 or more difference.

ALWAYS, select a build, never generic components.

Here is an example of a higher end build. Use checkout code spring0410 or NORUSH for 5% off the total. Gets you to $1,681.00

Sorry about that. I was looking to spend $4,000 to $5,000. Just for gaming but i want this to last for years and years. Obviously upgrading things if need be at a later time. When i looked at some of the exclusive series it felt more rounded out. From when i looked at the gaming pc's and added a better video card and stuff.

Just post what you are looking at before you pull the trigger.

The build above, you don't need the Intel Network Adapter, Your MOBO has it integrated.

a 360mm liquid cooler is overkill unless you are doing extreme overclocking. a 240mm is fine or a high end fan based one.

You don't really need to spend that much to get a top end system.

Look at an I9 cpu, 32 GB's of RAM will be more than enough for any gaming, 16 would be fine. A larger NVE M2 drive is cash well spent. The top line 2080 GPU. These are the bulk of your cash.

The higher end MOBO's often have extras most people don't use.

Seriously reconsider your budget. Spending 4 grand on a gaming PC is just f**king stupid. Sorry. Not sorry.
"I want it to last years!"
You  would be MUCH better off dropping $2,500 today, which will run ANYTHING at max, and then buying something new in 4 years for $2,500 then spending 5 grand today.

I have to wonder why some people feel the need to resort to profanity and insults in an attempt to get their point across.  Perhaps they lack the conviction of their statement?

Btw, I added the Network adapter in case the user is planning on  up to a 1GB inet speed. the MOBO adapter will not support it.

Cheers

"Sorry about that. I was looking to spend $4,000 to $5,000."

You could not spend that much if you tried and it makes absolutely no sense.

"You  would be MUCH better off dropping $2,500 today, which will run ANYTHING at max"

True. And that will last years and years too.

Thank you for the information Gan1957. I will definitely post what I plan to buy before I do.

Good information about the MOBO adapter. I do not currently have 1GB internet speed where I live but I do want it if it ever becomes available.

No matter where you go there will be trolls and someone to sh*t on you or poke fun at you. Look if I want to spend that much money I will, which is my choice. If you guys do not have that much to spend that is not my problem but please do not bash someone who wants too. The goal of this post was to find a good build to start at. Which it did help me lean toward a build and some other information I did not know.
