I recieved my Desktop gaming rig from Cyberpower about 4 days ago and am having a bit of an issue. Right out of the box, everything worked great, except for one thing, the speakers. My rig does not have a sound card, but from what I understood the mother board has one built in. I tried just about everything I could think of, but I still do not have any sound. At the moment I am using an HDMI, but I tried VGA and RCA with no luck. Please help me out, I will gladly take any advice.

VGA and RCA do not carry sound. HDMI does though your monitor would need to support it and have the right audio settings selected.

To verify, right click on speaker icon on bottom right of computer screen and select playback devices. You should see the HDMI output there that you can select as default.

You also have six audio plugs on your motherboard to plug speakers directly in... you can use those as well.

What kind of speakers do you have and what is the input cable?

I had no sound via HDMI.

What worked for me was installing the AMD Catalyst application to manage the graphics driver for my integrated graphics card. The default windows driver did not work for me even though it said the device was working properly.

Download the AMD Catalyst application or whichever corresponding application for your graphics card if you have a different manufacturer, install and manage your graphics drivers through it and not windows.

Please let us know if it worked for you as it did for me.
