^I am willing to bet Warhammer online will pull tons of people away from WoW. Think about it. World of Warcraft and the Warhammer games were both popular single player type games WoW hit the lottery when they went MMORPG. I think Warhammer is going to be the next big MMORPG.

Ok, if you do play WoW, what server/faction?

If at first you don't succeed, hire a pro to do it for you.

Heya,
I played WoW for a few months because some friends were into it. I've never been a fan of MMO's because of the grind, grind, grind playstyle, or pure pvp. And that just doesn't engrosse me into a game enough to actually pay for the intitial game, and then pay per month to keep playing it. I got to level 60 with a human paladin, and a level 40 with a human warlock. It was a relatively ok game, but honestly, the story and quests and content where all so completely unoriginal that it was a pain to actually do anything, and when it comes to that, grind is all there is, and I simply will not do that because it's completely pointless to me. So I later canceled my account. I don't miss it at all. If I wanted a grind and get the items! type game, I'd keep on playing Diablo 2 or something online for free.
Seems all MMO's are the same at the core. Just grind and get better items so that you can not get your ass kicked in the higher level content. That's all they all are. Some might argue that they do it differently, but honestly, they do not. Take an objective view of what every single MMO is and it literally is the same thing over and over with new graphics and names.
I have to say though, I did very much enjoy Guild Wars and it's free online play. But after you get through the game (great game play), unless you're into PVP (the heart and soul of Guild Wars), it becomes lack luster, so naturally, I didn't keep up with it.
I'm more of an action/fantasy RPG type person who wants a really great story that takes ages to actually play, not a grind fest with no real reason for doing it. I've got to have a story or something making me want to know what happens next in order to keep playing. Learning something new every bend of the way. WoW simply does nothing of the sort. If I have to collect any more boar parts I'll quit the game. And, well, I did. Lol.
Very best,
