Hello,
I have a question I do not know the answer to. Since I never used an SSD Drive before, can I use it exclusively or MUST I get an additinal HD for Data? What I'm asking is, as a Gamer could I just use One SSD Drive for everything? Would it really matter? Thanks |

You can, but generally SSDs are smaller than HDDs so you would put your most used stuff on the SSD and things like documents, pics, and lesser used stuff on the HDD.

I use 146Gigs atm for everything currently on this computer (1TB SATA). Even 3-4 games, OS, ect ect ect. So could I get a 180Gb SSD and be ok? Or even a 120Gb and just delete what I dont use? Or will it grow with updates ect ect taking up space eventually? Thanks again for your insight. EDIT: How will the programs work if I have 2 diff drives? Will I get a prompt asking where to save anything I install/Save since I have two different drives? Edited by Vodar - 16 Mar 2012 at 8:15am |

The 120gb intel 320 series is recommended but the 510 series could be used since its larger but it uses a marvell controller which has had problems but intel claims they worked out most of them. How often do you play those games because if some are not often you wouldnt need to store them on the SSD.

My main concern is keeping Win7 (obviously), Vent, Browser, 1-2 games, Saved games, Saved ect on file.
