Hi Folks,
I just purchased:

CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA270 3.1GHz 1TB Gaming Computer

From Overstock.com, the specfications shown are:
  • Processor: 3.1GHz Turbo Core AMD FX-8120
  • Motherboard: AMD 970
  • Socket: AM3+
  • Cache: 8MB L2
  • Memory: 8GB DDR3 SDRAM
  • Hard drive: 1 x 1TB SATA
  • Optical drive: 24x DVD+/-RW

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT520 1GB - PCI Express x16
  • Audio: High Definition 7.1 Channel Surround Audio
  • Networking: Ethernet
  • Expansion Slots Total (Free): 2 (1) x pci express x16, 2 (2) x pci express x1, 2 (2) x pci, 4 (2) x dimm 240-pin, 1 x Optical S/PDIF
  • Storage Controller: Serial ATA - 6.0 Gb/s
  • Chassis: Thermaltake Commander Mid-Tower Gaming Case
  • Ports: 2 x USB 3.0, 8 x USB 2.0, 1 x keyboard (PS/2), 1 x mouse (PS/2), 1 x Ethernet (RJ-45)
  • Power supply: 500 Watt - AC 120/230 V (50/60 Hz)
  • Model: Gamer Ultra GUA270
  • Included items: Gamer Ultra GUA270, Xtreme Gear USB Mouse, Xtreme Gear USB Keyboard
I can't find any other information about this PC, including what motherboard. There are no reviews on the web about this PC, only a few sites that used to sell the PC (all are sold out).

The PC has everything I wanted, at a reasonable price, except an internal card reader, so I took a chance an ordered it.

Does anyone have any history or information about this PC ?
Would I be able to add the cardreader and more memory without voiding my warentee ?

If you have already received the pc, you can contact our e-commerce tech support at 888/937-5582 and provide them with the number on the back of the machine. They will be able to assist you in providing the model name of the motherboard.

As for adding extra components, it would not void the warranty. Physical damage voids warranty so be careful during the installation process.
